A Journey on the Red Tram
Julian boarded the rattling red tram just as the evening rain began to streak the windows with silver trails. He clutched a worn leather journal containing unmailed letters addressed to a friend he had not seen in over a decade. Every stop brought bustling crowds and hurried footsteps, yet Julian remained seated, paralyzed by the fear of reaching out too late. Then, an elderly woman across the aisle dropped a knitted scarf, and as Julian leaned down to retrieve it, she smiled with a warmth that melted his hesitation. He looked at the next station name flashing above the door, stood up with newfound courage, and stepped out into the rain to finally deliver his words.
