The Glassblower's Mirage
“
In the dusty corner of a forgotten coastal town, Silas heated a rod of silica until it glowed with the intensity of a dying star. He was not making vases or goblets today. He was attempting to capture a memory of his grandfather into solid, clear curvature. As the molten glass expanded, an intricate shape began to form inside the bubble, resembling a small sailing ship caught in a perpetual storm. Suddenly, a sharp crack echoed through the workshop. Silas held his breath, fearing the entire piece would shatter into useless fragments. Instead, the fracture sealed itself with a thin line of iridescent color, leaving the ship intact and glowing with a soft, internal warmth that illuminated the dark room.
